General Position Statement:

A Regional Mortgage Market Manager leads the loan production team within their market to proactively solicit residential mortgage business through established quality origination practices in order to meet production goals. Continually identifying, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive network of business relationships that serve as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support effective and compliant origination standards in the loan production team by maintaining a thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all policies and guidelines. Act as a resource for the team to answer related questions and provide training and reference tools, as needed.
• Set and maintain high originator customer service expectations to respond timely to inquiries and referrals from contact sources or other BankPlus business channels. Conduct interviews and assist prospective borrowers to navigate the online application site in order to collect and analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives and lock interest rate, as applicable, advise customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines and ensure any additional required documentation or information is requested.
• Monitor team pipeline reports and dashboards to ensure projected production goals and loan activity deadlines and timelines are met. Work with origination team members to help them establish additional business referral sources and new mortgage lending opportunities within their market. Provide ongoing coaching on time management and productivity skills to develop and maintain volume, quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a high performing culture by promoting teamwork, and encouraging exceptional internal and external service and communication. Track the progress of loans and coordinate with the operations team and outside sources to expedite the loan through the workflow process from application through loan servicing. Keep customers and realtors updated as the loan transitions through the various milestones.
• Work under the direction of the Mortgage Operations Manager to train, grow, and maintain a strong mortgage team. Through collaboration, develop, test & implement mortgage lending best practice processes that promote and support accurate, efficient, accountable and compliant work flow procedures and lending policies. Stay informed of current mortgage trends and make researched recommendations to Mortgage Operations Manager to keep the mortgage team moving forward and prepared for growth.
• Develop strong referral relationships throughout BankPlus. Communicate with the appropriate personnel on loans involving bank secondary or secured financing to ensure all documentation is provided when needed.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including by not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adheres to the bank’s standard of conduct.
• Participation in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
• Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ten years mortgage loan origination experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a high-pressured environment
