To be able to reach this ambitious goal we are looking for talented individuals who, in addition to their passion for their own role, also have strong team spirit and want to contribute to supporting a meaningful corporate mission. </p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We are looking for a</p><p><br/> (Senior) Electrical Balance of Plant Engineer</p><p><br/> to work within our Business Area Wind, Offshore, Engineering.<br/> The <strong>Engineering </strong>department is the technical know-how centre within Business Area Wind, setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects to drive technical excellence through the whole project lifecycle.<br/> Working within the Electrical Infrastructure department of Engineering, the Senior Electrical Balance of Plant Engineer shall provide engineering expertise to asset and product projects under development and construction, with responsibility to deliver design-assured onshore and offshore substation products in line with project targets.</p><p><br/> <strong>Your Job as Senior Electrical Balance of Plant Engineer</strong></p><ul><li>Provide electrical project engineering expertise to asset and product projects in order to deliver key engineering assignments across the entire Transmission scope for all stages of the project lifecycle</li><li>Provide HSE leadership in the design and specification of electrical products and systems, including overall Electrical Safety</li><li>Be accountable for individual project and product contracts within the Project Development and Delivery phases to support the Product or Package Manager in overall electrical package delivery across the BU Offshore portfolio</li><li>Responsible for project-specific engineering tasks within the early development phase to understand and mitigate project-specific engineering risks as well as inform Substation Product Line on necessary product development dirContribute to building the project pipeline through provision electrical and project engineering expertise for new/emerging market heatmapping activities, taking responsibility for multiple potential sites within markets</li><li>Supporting Operational Support in providing engineering support to major operational asset replacement/maintenance campaigns</li><li>Co-ordinate and manage internal/external competence to deliver a range of project engineering scope areas, from onshore cable route engineering to onshore/offshore substation layout and engineering</li><li>Work towards optimized grid connection scopes for development projects and present the financial side to the technical solution as input to business case</li><li>Play a key role in developing project engineering competence, leadership and team development</li><li>Act as reviewer of key technical documentation. Ability to take decisions in field of responsibility</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Your Profile as Senior Electrical Balance of Plant Engineer</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Electrical, Power Systems or other relevant Engineering discipline</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of high voltage AC or DC equipment and systems for onshore and offshore substations</li><li>Experience in the design, development and delivery of onshore and offshore transmission infrastructure projects</li><li>Ability to identify and lead key electrical project engineering topics – balancing technical, commercial and consenting imperatives</li><li>Ability to take decisions in field of responsibility</li><li>Participate in and, on occasion, lead technical investigations into equipment failures</li><li>Provides guidance and mentoring to junior team members</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>Location</strong></p><p>Choice of Vattenfall locations at <strong>Hamburg, London, Kolding or Amsterdam</strong>.<br/>  </p><p><strong>Our offer </strong></p><p>Good remuneration, a challenging and international work environment, and the possibility to work with some of the best in the field.
