Position Summary:

Information Technology Interns will participate in an 8-week program in one of two key areas of Information Technology Governance.

 

IT Governance

The IT Governance team is responsible for overseeing key areas such as Budgeting & Finance, Vendor Management, Asset Management, and Business Support. Their role is to ensure that IT aligns with organizational objectives and delivers value effectively. IT governance, in this context, refers to the framework that defines decision rights and accountability, promoting responsible and efficient use of information technology. It establishes who is responsible for making critical IT decisions and holding them accountable, ensuring that these decisions are made in a structured and consistent manner. IT governance is not about managing the day-to-day operations of IT but about setting the arrangements for decision-making and responsibility across the organization.

This position will focus on one of two major areas in the IT Governance group, being IT Finance Support and IT Asset Management. 

  1. IT Reporting & Governance Analytics: This role is primarily focused on analytics and automation, specifically emphasizing the strategic support for our Information Technology budget and financial operations. This includes learning to generate accurate reports utilizing Power BI and other productivity platforms, assisting in responding to ad-hoc requests by providing analyses for decision-making, and collaborating with the team to streamline governance reporting processes and address ad-hoc inquiries.
