Patient Accounts Supervisor, Professional Billing

Essential Job Duties:

• Coordinates with the manager for the development, implementation and enforcement of patient. billing and follow up policies and procedures in support of organizational strategic goals.

• Monitors and translates third party payer changes to products to meet quality standards.

• Utilizes software to make continuous improvements to reimbursement rates and billing practices.

• Utilizes professional skills to interview, hire and evaluate patient accounting staff; maintains Competency of staff through internal and external training.

• Optimizes patient accounts staff by effectively deploying resources to meet operating goals.

• Streamlines process to support staff in exceeding expectations and communicates those results to staff.

• Protects patients right by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.

• Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
   

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

• Performs duties of staff reporting to their supervisor.

• Utilizes communication and customer service skills for patient concern resolution.

Job Specifications:

• Education: High School graduate
• Experience: 3-5 years of professional billing or related experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.  Proficient in spelling, grammar, punctuation and other languages skills. Proficient in keyboarding.
