A Day in the Life
As an Electrical Engineer 1 working on the Surgical Robotics program at the Medtronic, you will be part of a team that develops the electronic hardware for the Robotics Center of Excellence. You will work with other team members in developing, testing, integration, verification, validation, and production transfer of sophisticated electronic systems.Engineers create our market-leading portfolio of innovations. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Design and verify electrical circuits within the Robotic Assisted Surgery Platform.
- Design models and execute simulations. Analyze results.
- Design and test custom electrical assemblies and cable assemblies.
- Design and develop test firmware for custom PCBAs.
- Debugs components and complex systems
- Develop, document, and execute test procedures and protocols.
- Applies knowledge of personal computer hardware, peripherals, operating systems and device drivers.
- Assembles bills of materials, interfaces with key suppliers.
- Participate in generating electronics specifications from system and subsystem requirements.
- Participate in the development of product build procedures.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Participate in developing requirements and perform hardware / software integration.
- Participate in DFMECA and component derating studies.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 0 Years of experience
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree
- Previous experience with robotics
- Knowledge of firmware / embedded software development is desirable.
- Programming Languages: Python, C, Bash
- Experience with Linux and Windows
- Develops electrical and electronic schematics with electronic software packages.
- Ability to work in teams – we are looking for a team player!
- MSOffice.
