As a Technical Service Specialist, you will support plasticizer customers, Marketing, and Account Management to supply current business unit products while supporting the development and introduction of new products to our customers in the flexible vinyl and caulk/sealant businesses. Providing laboratory data to support the purchasing of our products and solving customer problems.

As a Technical Service Specialist - Pasadena, TX, you create chemistry by...

 

• Leveraging your material formulation experience to assist with the development and testing for new products and applications (Flexible PVC and Plastic Processing)
• Providing technical/laboratory data to a variety of customers in a timely manner, providing technical information reports and technical service on plasticizers. Understanding the balance of supporting the commercial efforts as well as the technical aspects in working with our diverse customer base throughout all levels of organizations
• Being able to recommend products for new applications based on design and the end use requirements in balancing BASF capabilities with customer needs.
• Applying Laboratory Testing Methods such as ASTM, ISO, NSF, UL, etc. to meet quality requirements.
• Ensuring safe working conditions while managing independent and collaborative lab work projects.
• Providing training to colleagues and customers on Equipment and Plasticizer 101 course.
• Assist with technical marketing literature (SDS, TDS, etc.).
• Interfacing with ANA (Analytical North America) on lab testing
• Maintaining chemical inventory and lab documentation (procedures, test methods, etc.).

If you...

 

• Hold bachelor’s degree in STEM Science Field.
• Have a minimum of 1 years of experience in an industrial lab experience setting (Preferred).
• Have SAP purchasing requisitions and maintenance request experience (Preferred).
