Claims Assessor (Veterinary Experience Required) - Work from Home

• Process new insurance claims.
• Provide advice and recommendation on pet claim and process involved.
• Collect accurate information and documents to procced with a pet claim.
• Analyse details of pet claims verifying that treatment aligns to the pet’s diagnosis/condition.
• Guide the claim consultants with technical advice to procced with payment of the claim.
• Ensure all paperwork relating to the payment of the claim is received and ready for processing.
• Identify any reasons why the claim may not be paid.
• Identify any reasons why full payment cannot be made to the claim.
• Ensure fair settlement of the claim.
• Recommend claim for payment in line with claim policy and procedures and delegated authority.
• Work closely and consult with claims consultants.
• Ensure the customer is treated fairly and receives prompt claims assessment processing.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, industry regulations and customer quality standards as outlined by the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in CRM systems or ability to pick up new technology quickly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in providing small animal veterinary medical treatment.
• Experience in reading medical notes / medical history/ treatment notes and plans.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work remotely and attend weekly meetings as required.
