Your New Role
You will be part of the Production Cost Accounting team working cross-functional with the manufacturing site in Hillerød and the production site start up in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
You will play a key role in steering financial performance and executing finance strategies to enhance business outcomes within a collaborative team environment. As a valued partner to the business, you will support finance initiatives and guide sound financial decisions.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who radiates positive energy, demonstrates exceptional ownership, and excels in communicating and collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Your ability to translate financial insights into actionable plans for non-financial peers will be pivotal to our collective success.
You will report to Associate Director of Production Cost Accounting.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain material master data, including calculating standard cost prices
- Investigate purchase price and production variances and perform root-cause analysis to implement corrective actions
- Perform inventory analysis, reconciliations, and counts, considering obsolete, slow-moving, expired, and scrapped materials
- Perform reconciliations of pass through cost
- Create and manage program cost estimates and reporting
- Partner with internal teams to ensure revenue recognition accounting is in accordance with internal policies
- Manage month-end inventory costing close, including calculating inventory provisions and assisting in the overall financial closing process
- Support the development of strong cost financial models and analytical tools for influencing financial strategies and business decisions
- Cultivates strong partnerships with business units to ensure collaboration and provide thorough financial analysis
- Proactively identify financial opportunities and risks and provides risk mitigation strategies to achieve budget targets
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned
Your Talent
- A university degree, minimum at bachelor’s level in finance, accounting, supply chain management or equivalent combined with 3+ years’ experience
- Proficiency in working with data to ensure data-driven decision making
- Advanced user of Excel
- Experience with SAP is required and experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Alteryx, is useful, but not a requirement
- Fluent in English
