As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Retail/Malls in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain visible throughout the property to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff to provide outstanding customer service and communication, while upholding a caring, people-first approach. This position is both armed and requires driving, offering the chance to utilize your professional skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that values reliability, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgment and de-escalation skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or potential threats.
• Perform duties while armed, maintaining awareness of surroundings and adhering to all applicable protocols for armed personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
• Document observations and report any unusual or suspicious activities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as directed.
• Offer assistance and guidance to employees, visitors, and/or customers as needed within the retail environment.
• Participate in emergency response activities and support evacuation procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
