As part of KPMG’s Infrastructure, Assets and Places division, our Real Estate Advisory and Transactions (REAT) team supports the ongoing growth and regeneration of our cities by helping clients work through the complexities of their real estate strategies, projects, and transactions.
To do this, we must bring together the skills, experiences, and perspectives of a diverse team of talented property professionals who share our purpose and have the desire to become national leaders in real estate strategy and transaction.
With continued QLD growth, the team is excited to build with an Associate Director level opportunity. This role supports our government and corporate clients and leads work including real estate strategy across single assets and portfolios and supporting investment decisions (incl. business cases).
Put another way, we help to deliver some of QLD's most significant real estate, urban renewal and infrastructure projects whilst expanding your skills, building you career and increasing your impact.
In joining our team, you will support delivery of engagements and opportunities, including:
- The delivery of precincts tied to many of Australia’s largest and most complex real estate and infrastructure projects.
- Assisting clients in the assessment, analysis, and procurement of real estate assets to support their financial, commercial, service delivery, and corporate objectives.
- Significant advisory and business cases including high-profile proposals from the private sector, asset/portfolio divestments and structured development transactions
In this role you will support our clients and our purpose by:
- Delivering in-depth property advisory engagements with a focus on market analysis, financial analysis, strategic options assessment, and commercial structuring.
- Assisting with analysis and decision making on a variety of high-profile and market sensitive property transactions across a range of sectors including urban renewal and infrastructure; living (affordable, retirement and aged, student, built-to-rent, short stay); and logistics/industrial.
- Collaborating with specialists across a range of disciplines (including tax, legal, finance, economics, engineering, planning and urban design) to provide integrated solutions for our clients.
- Taking an active role in the growth and development of the team, including by fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Due to the wide array of work and asset classes that we service, the team is seeking candidates with experience and / or skills in one, or several, of the below areas:
- Real estate specific: Strategic real estate advisory: strong prior experience in development and provision of strategic property advice across core property markets or other asset classes such as education, health etc.
- Business case experience: a demonstrated ability to lead and prepare business cases for clients such as government.
- Procurement, transaction management and project delivery: experience in planning, delivery and execution of major projects or procurement processes on behalf of the private sector or government.
- Commercial acumen: demonstrated experience advising on commercial principles and structures to support transaction outcomes.
