Maintenance Technician Helper

Hartung Glass Industries is hiring a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Technician Helper to support our maintenance team at our Farmers Branch, TX facility. Starting Pay: $20/hour and up depending on experience. No experience? No problem—we’ll train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist maintenance technicians with equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility upkeep
- Learn how to safely use hand and power tools
- Help with basic repairs involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or welding tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
- Move tools, materials, and parts to job sites within the facility
- Support troubleshooting efforts by preparing and organizing materials and documentation
- Communicate any equipment or safety issues to the maintenance supervisor
- Shadow senior technicians and participate in hands-on training to expand technical knowledge

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for long periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in a warehouse or maintenance setting is a plus but not required

Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana)
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends when needed
