Position Overview:


The Senior Director for People & Culture PMO and Strategy will focus on managing strategic initiatives across the Europe People & Culture function. This includes ensuring initiatives are prioritized and aligned to operational and strategic objectives for both short and long-term growth. This leader will help steward the following to support the Europe People & Culture function deliver our strategic objectives.

  • Optimize HR Leadership Team (HRLT) Routines: Oversee and enhance the effectiveness of our HRLT routines, fostering collaboration and high performance. This includes managing weekly stand-ups, core LT, extended LT, and monthly office hours.
  • Enhance Performance Management: Drive the performance management process for the HR function, ensuring alignment with our 5 strategic priorities and overseeing 20 KPIs/metrics. Collaborate in the monthly update of the performance metrics dashboard, facilitating in-depth discussions within HRLT and OULT (Operating Unit Leadership Team).
  • Strategic Long-Range Planning: Facilitate the long-range planning process for HR, ensuring alignment with the Europe LRP process and Global LRP to enhance organizational alignment and agility.
  • Revitalize APP Program: Redefine and relaunch the APP program to drive progress of our agenda. Currently, with 10 project teams that can be reviewed, the focus will be on overcoming previous challenges and ensuring the program aligns with overall strategic goals.
  • Co-Lead Organization Effectiveness: Collaborate in leading the organization effectiveness initiatives to deliver our headcount and OPEX/OI goals.


Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Project and Program Management – develop and drive strategic projects including project planning and management for the HR initiatives and HR engagement activities.  Leading the execution of HR projects and initiatives while driving networked connections across the enterprise.  

  • Stakeholder Management – work directly with key external stakeholders on key projects, representing The Coca-Cola Company and the HR Function. 

  • Drive One System strategy and connectivity with bottling partners. 

  • Serve as lead in internal culture and data communities of practice.  Introducing, leading and embedding strategies as appropriate. 

  • Planning, organizing, and controlling resources/processes to achieve project objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.  

  • Ensure there is an efficient framework for seamless team collaboration and communication across the function and that the right people have access to the right information to make the right decisions 

  • Other responsibilities include resource planning, work planning and budget management; evaluate ongoing risk assessments and mitigation across all projects; and design and track program and portfolio performance KPIs 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent work experience is required  


Related Work Experience:

  • A qualified PMO or strategic planning director should possess extensive project management and strategic planning experience, ideally gained through leadership roles.
  • This individual should demonstrate proficiency in change management, analytics, and stakeholder collaboration, coupled with a strong foundation in policies and regulations.
  • Certifications such as PMP or SWP can further validate their expertise in overseeing successful projects aligned with organizational goals.


Functional Skills:

  • The ability to lead, prioritize, collaborate and execute multiple complex projects is required  
  • Strong relationship management (at all levels of the organization) is required 
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills  
  • Must possess the ability to seek alternatives and recommend best solutions - that gain all parties support and lead to win-win results 
  • Qualified in project management and program development/execution 
  • Detail oriented and meticulous execution 
  • Self-Motivated, capable of working under continuous pressure. 
  • Ability of being structured in a fluid environment
