In a new market for Gelber, you will have the ability to build out a new strategy for the firm and grow your own desk over time. You may closely collaborate with our US Fixed Income Desk as well. This role is for someone who flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, a competitive attitude, and a proven record of profitability in a trading position for at least 3 years.</p> <p>The role can be worked hybrid/in-person in Chicago, New York or Boston. Remote work may be considered for top candidates.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bring expertise in trading DI futures and related rates products to a highly profitable trading firm</li> <li>Own and manage a&nbsp;<strong>Brazilian rates trading book</strong>, focused on DI futures, either via curve trades or cross-market relative value strategies</li> <li>Be a player/coach, that can both be a <strong>senior risk taker</strong> and <strong>people leader</strong></li> <li>Generate&nbsp;<strong>consistent, risk-adjusted P&amp;L</strong>across varying macro and volatility regimes</li> <li>Manage your own portfolio of active strategies and drive trading decisions</li> <li>Oversee desk-level P&amp;L, and have a meaningful influence over strategy, risk allocation, and talent development for the desk</li> <li>Establish and enforce disciplined risk management, drawdown controls, and trading standards for your desk.</li> <li>Collaborate across your trading desk to execute teams’ goals while ensuring core risk and compliance standards are met</li> <li>Grow your own business – recruit, develop, and mentor discretionary traders focused on Brazil DI Rates and
