What You Will Do:
The Senior Supplier Quality Manager will serve as liaison between commodity management, supply planning, suppliers, and mod center to improve suppliers short- and long-term performance.
Will assess part issues and guide solutions through Real-Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) to meet production throughput, on-time delivery, quality, customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
Provide strategic management and direction to all levels within the organization regarding the planning, direction, and execution of all suppliers’ products throughout development, production, inspection, and the organization’s overall quality system health.
Ensure supplier compliance to company, customer, regulatory, procedures and requirements through managing contractual flow downs, T&Cs and PO reviews.
Foster a quality culture throughout all functions within the organization.
Through leadership and effective communication, the Senior Supplier Quality Manager will develop and drive the tactical execution of supplier performance.
Lead, train and mentor a team of supplier quality engineers and technical staff, providing project status, working with cross-functional teams to organize, promote, and lead quality improvement efforts, identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence).
Manage supplier performance metric, supplier RCCAs, perform supplier TRUS events and perform supplier assessments working with ESA, MCL, Eng. and Program Leadership to prevent recurrence and ensure timely execution of program and customer requirements.
Lead/drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand; baseline factory metrics (Scrap, Rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers, and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
Implement and maintain the site Quality metrics for aged QNs supporting MRB strategies and initiatives in accordance with current quality standards, reporting on the performance of the quality system for review and improvements.
Support suppliers to establish system to support data integrity, accessibility, and procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
Direct the day-to-day quality deliverables and initiatives from suppliers (C of C review, FAIs, MRB, shipment data packages, root cause and investigation, calibration, tooling inspection, non-conformance control and documentation).
Drive product and process improvements that ensures the value stream quality metric goals are met (Escapes, Scrap, Rework, Throughput), collaborating with cross-functional teams to support engineering dispositions, DCMA, and delivery assurance.
Support site safety initiatives through participating in Environmental, Health & Safety assessments, reviews and RIDIIs.
Must be able to travel up to 50%
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment OR a Master's degree and 7 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement programs)
