Join our US client, a digital marketing agency, as a key player in helping their clients achieve the best SEO strategies. Their team of marketing specialists, developers and designers are ready to welcome you, to collaborate on a shared mission.
Note: this is a remote, contractor role.
Overview
As the SEO Lead, you serve as a central contact and strategic advisor for your designated client
portfolio. Your responsibilities encompass both the development and management of ROI-
centric SEO strategies. Collaboration is key; you work closely with project managers and the
leadership team to ensure timely, profitable delivery of SEO initiatives. Quality is a top priority,
so you perform meticulous quality assurance checks on all client deliverables. Additionally, you
actively seek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services within your client portfolio,
contributing to overall business growth.
Key responsibilities
Conduct competitor audits to identify gaps and opportunities.
Determine URL structures based on SEO and user experience.
Implement correct HTTP status codes (301, 404, etc.) where necessary.
Review customer business objectives; align keywords and content strategy accordingly.
Use standard tools like AHREFS, Screaming Frog, Search Console, and Google Analytics for keyword research.
Develop a backlog of keyword and content briefs based on research.
Input keywords and competitors into AHREFS for tracking.
Generate keyword performance reports.
Running AHREFS and Screaming Frog Audits
Writing Technical Briefs, including schema expectations
Validating and submitting improvements using Search Console and other Google Tester
Main requirements
Proven experience working in SEO with a Passion for SEO
Excellent communication skills, including follow through and clear writing
Deep experience in Google Analytics and Search Console
Experience working with SEO tools including Ahrefs and Screaming Frog
Experience with and/or understanding of code (e.g., HTML, JavaScript)
Experience working with popular CMS’ (e.g., WordPress)
Experience with technical SEO, including writing and validating schema
Experience with strategies for Local SEO - using Google Business Profile
