Goals:
The Network Engineer is a member of the Engineering Team within Professional Services and plays a key role in the successful delivery of Infrastructure Projects comprising of Switching and Wireless Networks for our clients. The role is accountable to ensure assigned Projects meet client requirements and are delivered using ‘best practice’ within agreed scope, time, budget, and quality.
Requirements
- Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Managed Service Provider, or similar organisation.
- At least 3+ years in a Network Engineering role.
- Must have current ACMP or ACSA (or equivalent) certification.
- Strong knowledge and industry experience around Switching and Wireless Networking Spectrum for vendors like Aruba, Cisco, FortiGate and Meraki.
- Industry experience working within the ITIL framework (ITIL certifications highly regarded)
- Must have strong experience in the use of Access/Campus Switching using Aruba.
- Must have strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of Wireless (Aruba IAP using Aruba central)
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of wireless network and switching solutions individually and as a Team.
- In collaboration with the Project Management office and/or Lead Engineer (L3 resource), ensure solutions are being delivered in line with the design, statement of work and scheduling milestones.
- Assist project management office to create project schedules.
- Network configuration, testing and cutover is done to ensure delivered solution is scalable, secure, redundant, and reliable.
- Assist Field Services Team for Wireless and Switching Services configuration, testing and cutover where required.
- Resolve incidents related to project activities as per Ticket SLA.
- Adhere to Incident and Change Management processes as per blueAPACHE/customer standards (ITIL Framework).
- Provide relevant Project Artefacts (AS-BUILT, UAT documents, Failover Testing reports etc) to Lead Engineer and/or Project Manager for review.
