What You’ll Do:

• Provide leadership, supervision, and support to case management staff
• Ensure compliance with child welfare standards and best practices
• Coordinate services and advocate for the well-being of children in care
• Collaborate with foster families, legal representatives, and community partners

What We’re Looking For:

• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in a human behavioral science field (required)
• 🧩 3+ years of experience in child welfare, child caring institutions, or related agencies
• 🚗 Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
• 📄 Proof of current auto insurance
• 🌍 Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
• 🧠 Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Provides strong leadership to the UC Case Management team. Supervises ORR unaccompanied child (UC) assessments in accordance with ORR policies and procedures and may conduct assessments for ratio compliance. May manage referrals, consultations, therapeutic services, and confer with other specialists on the course of care and treatment. Manages and reports significant incidents in accordance with ORR policies and procedures, and program services quality. They will ensure the effectiveness and quality of services through monitoring, case staffing, data management, research, evaluation, supervision, and assist with the development and enhancement of program efficiencies in close collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide weekly individual and team supervision to staff. Lead team meetings and train and support staff.

Oversee assignment and placement of children.

Manage and/or provide a range of case management services, including social casework, treatment of clients, and community referral.

Support, direction and leadership for case managers.

Provide supportive casework services to child, child’s family and sponsor household during initial placement and transfer.

Prepare and attend all scheduled court hearings on assigned caseload.

Ensure accurate and completion of all reports and assignments required by the organization or other agencies.

Job Qualifications

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

• Master degree in Human Behavioral Science field preferred; or a Bachelor degree in a Human Behavioral Science field required.
• Licensed by the State of Michigan as a social worker preferred.Experience
