|FLSA Status: Salary Exempt
Reports To: Field Service Manager
Amount of Travel Required: >75%
Work Schedule:
- Houston, TX Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- When traveling on job assignment, on-call & overtime availability is required.
Positions Supervised: Power Generation Field Representatives
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Field Service Supervisor schedules personnel, equipment required, and tooling needed to support the tig up and rig down of the turbine equipment as needed. They are responsible for performing required maintenance and repairs on all turbine and auxiliary equipment as well as managing crews’ hours while on assignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")
- Supervise and manage Rig up and Rig down crews.
- Provide trouble shooting oversite on gas turbine and other applicable equipment.
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on Turbine and aux equipment.
- Provide pre-job and post-job analysis (where applicable).
- Conduct work in accordance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and workplace.
- Provide essential training for personnel on gas turbine assembly and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate operational readiness of gas turbine and related equipment.
- May aid in implementation of more efficient working tasks.
- Pre job preparation readiness to include tooling and parts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully passes background check & pre-employment drug screening.
- Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite tools.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
- 10-20 years of previous gas turbine Gas Turbine mechanical experience.
- Specific knowledge of GE LM gas turbine and related auxiliary systems.
- Knowledge of Equipment Auxiliary systems.
- Able to read flow and instrument diagrams.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:
- Able to communicate in a technical manner with clients.
- Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
- Efficient at Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
- Knowledge of GE and other gas turbine related mechanical systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. Product Service Engineers work primarily indoors in the office.
- If required to go to a worksite, the work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials and operating conditions.
