Job Description

We are looking for inspired professionals that will be part of highly skilled teams who design, develop, deploy, customize and support technologies for EU institutions. The job holder will have the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the components and the required integration with other systems.

Your main duties will be to: 

• Development of back-end website applications
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic
• Implement core business logic
• Creation of servers and databases for functionality
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Design and develop APIs
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
• Writing clean, functional code on the front- and backend
• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
• Meet both technical and consumer needs
• Write technical documentation.

Qualifications

If you have 

• University Degree ( or EQF Level 6 equivalent) in Computer Science or another relevant field
• At least 8 years of experience in Java 
• Experience with the following tools: Git, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Nexus, Gradle, Jenkins, and Sonar
• Good knowledge and experience of code versioning tools such as Git, Bitbucket
• Good knowledge and experience with CI/CD principles
• Good knowledge of web services and microservices
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology and capacity to manage planning boards, sprints and deliver iteratively
• Ability to apply high-quality standards
• Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Very good Analysis and problem-solving skills
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
• Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills
• The capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team
• Ability to work in multicultural environments, on multiple large projects
• Excellent Team Player
• Ability to understand, speak and write English (level C1)
