    • Position available on or after August 24, 2026 and ending on or before May 22, 2027.  Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing seeks a dynamic, self-starting student to to work with the Web Services Team maintaining and updating the University website. This position will provide in-depth hands-on training and experience coordinating websites and electronic communications.

      Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Editing pages on the csustan.edu Drupal site
      • Posting images and photos to the website
      • Cleaning up content and directory structure on the website
      • Assist with web accessibility updates and remediation
      • Build custom website forms using MS Forms
      • Helping fulfill, solve and handle web work order requests from across the campus
      • Communicating with University departments and programs regarding site updates and edits
      • Easy/moderate graphic design projects for elements to be used on the web, such as creating banner images and cropping photos
      • Helping current web ambassadors (Drupal editors group) with Drupal questions (will train!)
      • Attend communications and creative monthly meetings
      • Other duties as assigned.

       

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Computer science or a related major, preferred.
      • Excellent communication, troubleshooting and research skills.
      • An excellent eye for editing content and familiarity with formatting text; attention to detail.
      • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
      • Demonstrated beginner to intermediate graphic design skills.
      • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
      • Knowledge or understanding of web accessibility.
      • Ability to take on web-related project responsibilities independently, for repeated tasks or once direct instructions are provided initially.
      • Ability to self-prioritize tasks that are repeated or ask for assistance on tasks that are out of the norm.
      • A friendly, outgoing personality; you will interact with and provide service to all University departments and programs.
      • Previous experience with a content-management system, preferably Drupal, is a plus.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and other computer programs.
      • Effective communication skills.
      • Dependable and able to follow through on assignments.
      • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with appropriate follow-through.
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.90 per hour.
