Acute Care Surgeon Opportunity

The Division of Acute Care Surgery (ACS) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Surgeon to join our collaborative and supportive team of 20 surgeons and a robust group of APPs.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collegial team committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic and high-volume environment. Our hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine, is an American College of Surgeons-designated Level I Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, managing:

- 3,100+ trauma-related admissions annually
- 2,100+ emergency general surgery cases per year

· Broad scope of practice, including elective general surgery, emergency general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care, managing high-acuity patients

The ideal candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified or board eligible in Surgical Critical Care, have completed a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care and demonstrate a strong interest in teaching residents and medical students.
