General Description:

The Senior Care Options (SCO) Manager will demonstrate a thorough understanding of SCO contract requirements and SCO computer systems. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all regulations and quality measures outlined in contracts. Collaborating with the Mass Health Program Director to develop systems and procedures that meet best practices. As the SCO Manager, you will oversee the Geriatric Support Services Coordinator (GSSC) casework and ensure current work and documentation. 


Requirements

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of SCO contract requirements and SCO computer systems. 
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations and quality measures as outlined in contracts.
  • Oversees GSSC casework and ensures work and documentation are up to date.
  • Provides orientation and ongoing training of GSSC staff.
  • Meets regularly with all GSSCs to discuss general program issues and problem resolutions
  • Facilitates home visits, case conferences, and discharge meetings with GSSC or other SCO staff as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues within the agency and with SCO partners to implement strategies to address client needs.
  • Provides backup program support in the absence of GSSC.
  • Responds quickly to any member or provider complaints. 
  • Encourages and supports GSSCs to seek appropriate professional growth and learning opportunities.
  • Involve staff in the development, clarification, and policy. 
  • Conduct and review QA/QI activities of the department in partnership with all SCO Management.  
  • Identifies and reports any critical incidents to Program Director and EOEA. 
  • Represents ASNCM in routine meetings with SCO partners.
  • Attend and participate in ASNCM Leadership meetings and events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related experience in Human Services.  
  • A Master’s Degree in the Human Services field is preferred. 
  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Options or State Home Care Program Specialist.
  • Demonstrated leadership in overseeing initiatives with Aging Services Access Points to enhance service delivery and ensure compliance with state and federal aging services regulations.
  • Social work license is preferred.


 A valid driver's license and a legally insured and registered motor vehicle are required, a copy of current license and registration will be on file in the personnel record.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Pre-employment physical, CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information), SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information), TB (tuberculosis) screening.  



Leadership Responsibilities:

This position supervises the Geriatric Support Services Coordinator (GSSC) staff and SCO Program Specialist.


Essential Functions:
