Architectural Design Intern

This position will support the Whataburger Design Team as a summer intern and gain hands-on experience working on current and future Whatburbuger design projects. You’ll support internal project teams with design presentations, BIM modeling & rendering, construction deocument reviews; while participating in coordination meetings and professional development sessions. Ideal candidates are architecture students with strong Revit, SketchUp, Rendering, Adobe skills, attention to detail, and an interest in retail design.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to contribute to Real Estate prototype sup.port.
• Analyzes and helps to model potential design options for new and existing prototypes.
• Contributes to the coordination for the maintenance of various bridge sets and Whataburger design standards through third party consultants. 
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned

Education:   

• Currently enrolled in College and have completed a minimum of 80 hours
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or

Experience: 

• 0 – 3 months experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   

• Demonstrates the ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a creative team environment
• Proficiency in 3-D modeling using such software as Sketchup and Revit
• Proficiency in Rendering using such software as Enscape
• Proficiency in Adobe Sofware such as Photoshop, Illistrator and InDesign
• Proficiency in data entry and MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Elementary knowledge of practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements: 

• Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
• Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
• Some travel, both locally and long distances, (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations may be necessary.
