About the role

As a member of Securities Service Technology Project Execution team, you will execute projects on modernization and AWS cloud adoption. This includes applications planned for North America Data Center Migration.  You will work with application development, Global Technology Infrastructure team, SRE / Production Management, Information Security Management, Engineer & Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver on project requirements. The successful candidate will have a proven record working in a global environment with global teams.

Securities Services Technology Transformation team manages the project executions for mandated Technology Programs for over 200 applications.  These projects include Modernization, Infrastructure management, Cybersecurity, Resiliency, Risk and Control technology programs.  Major initiatives include:

  • Modernization and Cloud Adoption – facilitate Application Development teams and the various infrastructure groups to optimize and modernize the way we design, manage and operate our applications.
  • North America Data Center Migration - a multi-year program to uplift technology and to consolidate data center footprint from the existing 13 sites to 4 new strategic sites.
  • Infrastructure Management – provide planning and execution support on all aspects of technology infrastructure requirements. This entails infrastructure optimization, cost and project tracking on hardware and software upgrades.
  • Resiliency, Risk and Control – a portfolio of projects and metrics to manage technology operational risks and control.  Measures of performance include key risk indicators (KRI) on cybersecurity, vulnerability, recovery, resiliency, and capacity etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive end to end project execution on AWS public cloud adoption across Securities Services.
  • Create and keep up to date project plans, project trackers. Maintain risks and issue logs.
  • Set up regular governance with project stakeholders to follow up on project progress and status.
  • Proactively manage dependencies and co-ordinate across teams such as such as Cybersecurity & Tech Control, Information Security Management, engineers, architects, infrastructure managers, and across application development teams to meet deadlines.
  • Co-ordinate with central advocacy and development teams to resolve blocker frictions and dependencies and assist with problem solving or prioritization
  • Analyze application and asset data to derive meaningful insights to present to management for decision making and reporting.
  • Maintain up to date source of records with plans for AWS Public cloud and data center migrations
  • Contribute to reporting to Sr. Management and data validation of reports created by central teams
  • Develop and maintain up to date project documentation and confluence pages

 Required Skills :

  • 3+ years financial industry or relevant experience with exposure in a fast-paced environment.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional in Microsoft Office suite (Excel a must) and Power Point
  • Exceptional analytical, presentation and reporting skills
  • A drive for results, and ability to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to act as liaison across multiple technology and functional teams.
  • Strong in relationship management to influence and a good consensus builder to achieve results.
  • Team player mentality, and ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients to accomplish common goals.
  • Experience in project management or exposure to project management methodologies and principles.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
