2027 Summer Internship – Client Solutions & Analytics Analyst, US

Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters

At PIMCO, the Client Solutions and Analytics (“Solutions”) team seeks to generate objective, actionable insights to help our clients improve portfolio outcomes. In pursuit of this goal, the team works closely with a wide spectrum of clients, including Public Pensions, Endowments, Sovereign Wealth funds and financial advisors to understand their needs, analyze their portfolios, and make recommendations. As part of this team, you would partner with account managers, product specialists, and portfolio managers throughout this process and leverage quantitative analyses, financial modeling, data-driven research, and emerging technologies to support the team’s efforts.

You’re eligible to apply if you:

  • Are pursuing an undergraduate degree with a major in Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or applied science

  • Must be able to begin full time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028

  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027)

  • Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university

  • Are business proficient in English

  • Must be willing to work in Newport Beach, CA

You’ll excel as an Analyst if you have:

  • An interest in the financial markets, investing, and macroeconomics,

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • An analytical, detail-oriented skill set

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong time management and organization skills

  • The ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel both internally and externally

  • Demonstrate curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes

You will gain a strong understanding of portfolio construction and risk analyses applied across a wide spectrum of partners.
