Key Responsibilities
We are seeking to add an Accounting & Finance Manager to our growing firm, located in our Boston headquarters. This role is a unique blend of accounting, FP&A and financial management, and offers a great opportunity to make a direct and immediate impact on the firm, along with the opportunity to expand your scope of responsibilities over time. This new position will report to a Managing Director and founder of the firm
Initial responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable / invoicing
- Approving expense reimbursements in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy
- Customer onboarding, supporting the company’s KYC and AML responsibilities
- Preparing financial analysis and models to support leadership decision making and process improvement initiatives
- Regular and ad hoc management reporting
- Contribution to the process of preparing and filing financial regulatory reporting
- Support financial and regulatory audit processes by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives
Over time, the successful A&F Manager will have the opportunity to assume additional responsibilities, which may include contract negotiation, vendor negotiation, compliance and support for a broad array of firm operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic track record from a leading undergraduate college or university
- Major in accounting (preferred), significant coursework in accounting, or a CPA
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- FINRA SIE and/or Series 99 licenses are not required but a plus (the role will require FINRA registration and the successful completion of these exams after joining the firm)
- Prior experience with our accounting software stack (Quickbooks, Bill, Expensify, Paychex) is a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, and work within a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Highest level of ethical behavior and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and pass a background check
