About the role
Nasdaq is looking for an enthusiastic professional with prior experience in an events sales and production position, preferably within a similar organization such as a professional services or financial services firm. In this role, you will coordinate and help execute hosted and sponsored events on-site at the Nasdaq Client Experience Center as well as market the space and support paid events in New York, NY.
The Event Sales Associate position is heavily focused on coordinating logistics and acting as a project manager to help execute a project plan to ensure the overall success of the event. This role will be responsible for assisting the Event Manager in marketing and selling the Nasdaq Client Experience Center (80%) and will also work with internal clients to plan, manage and deliver key event marketing initiatives for all business lines within the Listings, Workflow & Insights umbrella often acting as the project manager to keep stakeholders on track (20%).
This position is based in New York, NY and reports to the Event Manager, based in New York, NY.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
- Prospecting and securing space for paid client events (80%)
- Alongside Event Manager, ensure you are meeting event revenue goals, once assigned
- Play a crucial role in marketing the Nasdaq Client Experience Center to increase event sales revenue, including but not limited to
- Developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the event space to potential clients
- Collaborating with the marketing and creative teams to create compelling promotional materials
- Utilizing social media, email campaigns, and other digital marketing tools to reach a wider audience
- Attending industry events and networking functions to generate leads and build relationships with potential clients (as needed)
- Analyzing market trends and client feedback to continuously improve marketing efforts and enhance the visibility of the event space
- Once events are booked, providing support in conjunction with the Event Manager including but not limited to
- Helping client to liase with catering, AV, Broadcast, Facilities, Building Security, Creative Teams, etc. to assist with successfully planning these events
- Assist with hosted, sponsored and paid events across Listings, Workflow & Insights at Nasdaq’s Nasdaq Client Experience Center (20%)
- Work across the organization and with catering, AV, Broadcast, Facilities, Building Security, Creative Teams, etc. to assist with successfully planning these events
- Including but not limited to general event set up, badge desk, assisting with registration, shot calling for AV, catering and supporting on site program team as needed
- Budget management at all steps of the event, starting at the conceptualization process
- Reconciles with accounting, all payments for these events, purchase order management and tracking budget
- Provide ROI tracking following each event utilizing Monday.com as well as debriefs and event recaps for stakeholders (when applicable)
- Responsible for tracking and managing deadlines around sponsor event deliverables (when applicable) while continuously updating internal stakeholders throughout the process
- Demonstrate superior customer service and hospitality to all clients
- Be a subject matter expert for Nasdaq’s Client Experience Center
- Act as on-site support, when requested, for additional designated meetings and events to ensure successful meeting execution
- Strict adherence to meeting protocols (cost saving measures, risk policies, contract approvals)
Additional Job Description Requirements
- 2-4 years of event management, production and client experience
- Passion for event planning
- Well-presented with a professional approach
- Exceptional verbal and communication skills and ability to interact with c-level executives both internally and externally
- Flexible and a hardworking team player; ability to flex and step in as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask and lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of CRM systems; preferably in Salesforce, Knak and Marketo
- Experience with marketing automation tools
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in marketing, communications or hospitality
- Ability to adhere to an in-office work schedule, including working evenings and weekends as needed for events (15-25%)
