The Maintenance Team is a matrix organization within Beyond Meat that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins. They are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located in Devault, PA as a Maintenance Technician II.
The Maintenance Technician II will perform journey level work which will require previous experience in a similar industrial setting. The second tiered technicians should be able to perform a broader range of more complex tasks, will require less supervision, and may occasionally provide technical direction to less experienced maintenance staff. They will also be responsible for providing general mechanical and electrical maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and building.
TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
LOTO training on all equipment types, prove to be proficient in all areas via LOTO audits
Assist with equipment moving, set up, and leveling
Pre-start up lubrication on critical equipment such as forming equipment, stuffers, and IQF spirals
On the job training and assisting other technicians with support repair work, preventive maintenance work, and project work
Willingness and skill to be a powered industrial truck operator, in order to move or assist in moving small equipment, parts and/or supplies
Maintain and clean tools, parts, equipment and maintenance areas as required by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at a food manufacturing facility
Learn basic assembly and operation of primary plant equipment, forming equipment, stuffers, IQF spiral, packing equipment, labelers and date coders
Use of troubleshooting tools, such as a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM), Meggar (Mega-Ohmmeter), temperature probes, etc.
Basic machine troubleshooting
Ability to check for primary power supply, air supply, water supply, etc.,
Provide basic knowledge of 480V, 240V and 120V power
General repairs to include conveyor belt, V-belt, pneumatic fittings, hose, tubes hydraulic fittings, replacements and testing after replacement for machine functionality
Ability and skill to operate scissors lift, forklift, and other industrial equipment upon completion of training
Adhere to all facility policies concerning safety, security, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:
Associates degree or technical degree from a trade school and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience in manufacturing preferred.
