The SVP, Client Experience for the Optum Team is an executive role within the Client Success team that is responsible for achieving consistent quarter-over-quarter results in the Datavant/Ciox Optum P&L enabled by a strong day in and day out Client Experience and consistent progress in the Path to 80%.  A key result of the efforts of this role will be client willingness to do more business with Ciox/Datavant. The SVP, Client Experience for the Optum Team will spend 30-50% of their time setting new exciting visions for the client value proposition and experience, engaging with Datavant Sales leadership, developing/training the current team and its leaders, and recruiting exceptional new talent to the team. The remainder of the SVP’s time will be to deliver rock solid service to Optum and United Healthcare.  

To succeed at this dual mandate, he or she will develop a high-performing team capable of executing standard client support with minimal oversight. 

This role will be based in Nashville Tennessee so as to be proximate to Optum’s retrieval operation AND to the Change Healthcare HQ presence.

You Will: 

  • Operate as the executive point of contact for any and all matters specific to our customers 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships 
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer’s needs and objectives 
  • Communicate clearly the progress of project initiatives to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Track key account metrics and service level agreements 
  • Assist with the development of a joint company strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones 
  • Identify new opportunities in collaboration with the sales team to ensure growth 
  • Assist with client requests and issue escalation as needed 
  • Learn and master the details of all processes and all technology that are used to deliver services to clients 
  • Monitor new process and technology initiatives to ensure alignment with client needs 
  • Identify key areas of internal opportunity provide input to management team 

You Will Bring to the Table: 

  • Experience working in the healthcare insurance and/or healthcare audit industry preferred, but not required 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization 
  • Excellent customer service principles and practices 
  • Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently in an extremely fast paced, high pressure environment with minimal supervision 
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Excellent computer and data analytical skills including forecasting and capacity planning
  • Minimum college degree or equivalent
