Job Description

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Rochester, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Hotels & Resorts, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors at prominent retail and hospitality locations. Your role will focus on providing outstanding customer service, addressing security-related inquiries, and helping to deter incidents through your professional presence and communication skills. You will play a vital part in creating a welcoming environment, supporting both guests and staff, while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors and guests at the front desk, providing assistance and direction as needed in a professional manner.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
• Support Allied Universal and client procedures by carrying out security-related tasks and reporting any unusual activity or observations.
• Communicate with site personnel and/or management to relay important information regarding security-related concerns.
• Assist with lost and found procedures and provide general customer service to those entering the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a minimum of six months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
