Raytheon has an opportunity for an Associate Director, Global Trade Monitoring & Assurance. This role reports directly to the Director and Assistant General Counsel, Global Trade Program Office and provides organizational leadership to a team of Global Trade professionals.
The Associate Director, Global Trade Monitoring & Assurance role is responsible for leading the development and deployment of monitoring, testing, assessments, and other assurance activities to ensure compliance with global trade laws and regulations (including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)), sanctions, and RTX and Raytheon policies and procedures.
This role manages risk while ensuring a standard program design and ultimately sets the mission, vision, and strategy of the Raytheon Global Trade Monitoring and Assurance approach globally.
This role requires collaboration within Raytheon Global Trade and with other Raytheon functions and will represent Raytheon on Corporate Monitoring and Assurance initiatives.
What You Will Do
Lead a team in designing and conducting monitoring and assurance of business activities to ensure compliance with global trade laws wherever Raytheon operates
Support ongoing evaluation of the efficacy of controls, identifying gaps, ensuring remediation, as well as occasionally supporting investigations and disclosures
Communicate with various internal stakeholders about themes and details of any findings and remediation plans
Spearhead the design of metrics, scorecards, and automation to increase efficiency in performing the assurance work and acting on findings
Collaborate with Global Trade Program Office team to identify and mitigate global trade risks across all business activities
Participate in committees of Global Trade professionals from across RTX operating across a complex regulatory and systems landscape
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience
Work experience in roles that ensure compliance with the ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Sanctions regulations

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience developing audit/assessment protocols, conducting audits/assessments, and drafting audit/assessment reports
Experience coordinating cross-functional and cross-business global teams in completing tasks and projects
Experience in assessing risks and formulating, recommending, and implementing corrective actions
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with various levels of RTX and Raytheon leadership and to collaborate with business and assurance personnel
Experience analyzing the applicability of export controls to different situations, obtaining and managing export authorizations, or other global trade related activities
