Overview:
We are searching for an HR Compensation Intern who is eager to learn all aspects of the total rewards function to assist with a variety of assignments and projects related to salary structures, job benchmarking, data analysis, and HR administration. In this position, you will learn how to take the skills you are acquiring in related courses and apply them in a professional setting. This role reports directly to the Global Compensation Manager and is based in our office headquarters located in Wilmington, MA.
The HR Compensation Intern will work closely with the Global Compensation Manager to support various compensation-related initiatives and processes. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compensation analysis, data management, and HR operations within a dynamic corporate environment.
Responsibilities:
● Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting compensation data to support
decision-making processes.
● Assist in the development of a project plan to review, update, and standardize
our job description database.
● Assist with completing global salary surveys and analyzing data to ensure
competitive pay practices.
● Support the job evaluation process by reviewing job descriptions and assisting with market pricing analysis.
● Assist in developing and maintaining job classification and leveling systems.
● Provide administrative support in managing compensation programs.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HRIS (Human Resources
Information System) related to compensation, job codes, and salary changes.
● Assist in testing and implementing system enhancements or updates related to compensation management.
● Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive compensation
information.
● Participate in special projects or initiatives related to compensation.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Talent
Acquisition, to ensure alignment on compensation-related matters.
● Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements and best practices in compensation management.
Qualifications:
● Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources,
Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw
meaningful insights.
● Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with
HRIS software is a plus.
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
● Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards taking on new challenges
and responsibilities.
