We’re excited about the path ahead—are you ready to make the world a healthier place, one person at a time?  About the Role Icario is seeking a talented Sr. Software Engineering Manager with a passion for building teams that deliver incredible technology to delight our clients.  You will be responsible for leading an engineering team to help build the next generation of Icario platform. You will also play a key role on our Engineering Leadership team.  You will have a direct impact on our success by ensuring our Engineering teams have the tools and processes in place to deliver quality software that gets the right message to the right person at the right time, enabling people to take action and improve their health and wellbeing.   For positions offering fully remote flexibility, please keep in mind all Icario employees must live within the United States full time. All employee work conducted for Icario must be performed within the United States.  

Why We Need You

• Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the frontend Digital Experience platform engineering team, prioritize accordingly, and create an execution roadmap 
• Manage, mentor, grow and enable a high performing team of platform developers working on healthcare industry tough problems to deliver top tier digital experience
• Own the team’s mission and strategy, collaborating with technical leaders to continuously refine the roadmap for your team
• Cultivate best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
• Provide technical direction and audit design decisions

• Drive operational excellence for your team's areas of responsibility 
• Collaborate with other team leaders on developing and presenting product roadmaps

• Strong experience at the Sr. Engineering Manager level 
• Strong experience with building PaaS and/or SaaS platforms 
• Strong experience with web technologies, including UI and microfrontend frameworks
• Strong experience with microservices, Springboot, and database
• Proven track record of driving a product vision, strategy, and execution while leveraging strong cross-functional partnerships with Product Management and Technical Program Management teams 
• A healthy blend of deep technical knowledge with a customer-focused mindset and empathy 
• Excellent ownership, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn and grow 
• Strategic thinker that can connect customer use cases to technology solutions and think holistically about end-to-end experience 
• Experienced with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery culture 
• Experience working in Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. 
• Energized by a fast-paced, late-stage startup and able to embrace change to drive the organization forward 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
