**The Role

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Maintenance Team as a Materials Facilitator.  The role is responsible for providing the wider Maintenance Department with Administration Duties and SAP activities.

 

The role will also coordinate all Central Workshops, Power & Control Workshops and Production Unit Stores activities in compliance with Asset Management Excellence objectives to ensure efficient links are maintained between the Production Unit Planners/Co-ordinators and Main Stores Material Facilitators. 

 

The role will support our Maintenance Technicians with general tasks and also ensure that all materials are stocked for Technicians to use.  The role will require you to manage Goods Inward receipts and inspections, complete validations and generate job packs/deliveries and utilise the “stage it” process for end-users to meet business requirements.  The role will also require you to maintain all the workshops and store facilities to meet business needs and ensure all work instructions are followed.

 

**About You

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

 

Experience

• Willing to work towards a good understanding of procurement systems, store keeping, material identification, inspection procedures and preservation/packing techniques.
• Willing to work towards a good understanding of structured administration, contracting, planning and scheduling to ensure safety, quality and efficiency standards are maintained to deliver Asset Management Excellence.
• High level of working knowledge of SAP.
• Desirable to have a good understand of P&C Technician activities and should have some experience of PAT testing and awareness of maintaining hazardous area equipment.
• Good working knowledge of manual handling techniques and COSHH.

 

Skills and Attributes

• Ability to work well within a team and work independently.
• Strong IT skills in SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Able to prioritise workload in line with Departmental demands.
• Can be flexible in approach to work to support changing demands of the department.
