Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will support our veterinarians and technicians in delivering top-notch medical care, ensuring the well-being of our patients, and maintaining a clean and organized facility.
Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
Safely restrain animals for treatments and diagnostics.
Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision.
Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, feces).
Perform basic diagnostic tests, including radiographs and blood tests.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Educate clients on general animal care, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of examination rooms, surgical areas, and kennels.
Manage inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering phones.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, and Saturdays.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
6+ months of experience in a veterinary setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Genuine compassion for animals and their owners.
