The AI2 Incubator is a one-of-a-kind place to build an AI-first company. We partner with the Allen Institute for AI (AI2) to launch and fund ambitious AI startups.To date, our spinout companies have raised over $150M and are collectively valued at nearly $700M. 

Each year, we invite talented entrepreneurs, researchers, and engineers to join our incubator on a rolling basis. We help them come up with ideas, find co-founders, engage pilot customers, define their product, incorporate the latest A.I. techniques into their technology, and raise millions of dollars in venture funding.

We also invest in the companies we work with out of a dedicated pre-seed fund that boasts capital from some of the best investors in the world, including Madrona Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, and Two Sigma Ventures, among others.

ROLE PROFILE 

Talented founding teams are the lifeblood of the AI2 Incubator. For the first time in the incubator’s history, we are opening up a role dedicated to recruiting and vetting entrepreneurs, and helping them build world class founding teams. The ideal candidate is both relentless about bringing in talent at the top of the funnel and thoughtful about building a scalable talent network to support the incubator community over the long haul. 

You should apply for this role if you get excited about startups and early stage company-building, love new technology and building products, and are energized by the idea of working with entrepreneurs every day. You will be a true core teammate of the incubator, and your opinions/perspectives will be deeply valued and respected.

You will work closely alongside all other members of the incubator team including our investors, A.I. experts, technical and engineering experts, product designers, legal team, and executive leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for the full talent lifecycle, but can call upon your teammates at the Incubator to help along the way. This includes building awareness of the incubator through events and other outbound campaigns and vetting entrepreneurs that result from them. It also includes helping the founders work with identify and course co-founder candidats and early teammates.  

Other activities include the following: 

1. Source and build talent pipelines for entrepreneurs
2. Manage our internal CRM
3. Evaluate candidates and maintain our vetting criteria
4. Utilize social media, events, and your own research methods to identify talented entrepreneurs and early teammates.
5. Maintain a talent network that shares talented candidates across the incubator community as appropriate and “recycles” talented people we have met in the past. 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

• The candidates we hope to meet with will likely have 8+ years of full cycle recruiting experience -  startup and/or venture capital experience preferred. 
• Deep understanding of recruiting strategy, tactics and toolchains.
