This job manages and coordinates the daily operations of the organization's Home Medical Equipment (HME). Plans and organizes all operational functions from intake to billing and from inventory to delivery; coordinates all quality assurance functions and Joint Commission requirements; oversees all staff and staff development; maintains all Health System management systems such; and coordinates all activities of the outside billing company with internal operations to maximize efficiencies.

Education 

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Associates or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field

Work Experience

Required - 5 years of relevant work experience in HME, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field

* Will accept 3 years of relevant work experience and Bachelor's Degree in lieu of 5 years.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Excellent judgment, decision-making and delegating skills.

• Good interpersonal and consultative skills to work effectively with all levels of employees, physician management, and business and support areas.

• Strong computer knowledge of Word, Excel and HME Billing software.

• Self-directed including the ability to work independently, set priorities and maintain complete confidentiality.

• Demonstrated ability to manage within a budget and understand financial statements sufficient to analyze trends and make recommendations.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

• Ensures operational profitability with preliminary budgets, performance data, system reporting, and inventory management.

• Supports long-term strategic business plans through department-specific business planning.

• Manages the physical & technological infrastructure and supports organizational structures.

• Performs other related duties as required.
