About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Frontend-leaning 80%) to join our growing monetisation squad. You’ll play a pivotal role in evolving our customer-facing product, crafting high-quality, performant, and accessible user interfaces while still contributing across our backend systems when needed.

Our small, highly agile team values experimentation, rapid iteration, and data-driven decision-making, whether it’s running A/B tests, building prototypes, or refining polished features. You’ll collaborate closely with designers and product managers to bring ideas to life, ensuring our frontend experiences are not just functional, but delightful and impactful.

While this role requires you to work across the stack, your primary focus will be on the frontend, translating design concepts into production-ready code, enhancing our UI architecture, and ensuring our web applications are scalable and performant.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain elegant, responsive, and high-performing frontend experiences using React and TypeScript

• Translate UX/UI designs into production-quality interfaces that work seamlessly across devices and browsers

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to create and refine prototypes for usability testing, A/B experiments, and MVP launches

• Contribute to backend services and APIs where needed, particularly when integrating new frontend features

• Optimise web performance and accessibility, ensuring our products are fast, inclusive, and meet best practices

• Develop well-structured, maintainable code, and proactively suggest improvements to our codebase and architecture

• Work with databases and APIs to deliver dynamic, data-rich experiences

• Mentor and support other engineers, sharing knowledge and encouraging best practices across the team

• Help shape technology decisions as we modernise our stack, influencing frontend architecture and tooling choices

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of professional development experience, with 4+ years in React

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and modern frontend development practices (component-driven development, state management, testing frameworks)

• Experience designing and building scalable, user-facing web applications

• Comfort working across the stack with Python for backend development

• Experience with API integration and creation (REST or GraphQL)

• Strong understanding of web performance optimisation and accessibility standards

• Production experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar) and strong SQL skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Desired skills and experience

• Experience with Python frameworks, ideally FastAPI

• Familiarity with AWS and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate)
