To know more about us <a href="https://www.visteon.com/company/about-us/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">click here</a>.</p> <p><strong>Mission of the Role</strong>: Lead the design and development of high-efficiency onboard chargers (OBC) and DC-DC converters for electric vehicles.</p> <p><strong>Key Objectives of this Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and development of high-efficiency onboard chargers (OBC) and DC-DC converters for electric vehicles.</li> <li>Perform advanced simulations, modeling, and analysis of power electronic circuits and systems.</li> <li>Develop and optimize sophisticated control algorithms for power conversion systems.</li> <li>Conduct thorough testing, validation, and troubleshooting of power electronic components and systems.</li> <li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.</li> <li>Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and system engineers, ensuring seamless integration of power electronics into the overall EV architecture.</li> <li>Oversee and synchronize the efforts of global engineering teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.</li> <li>Lead design reviews, technical discussions, and project planning activities.</li> <li>Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and EV technology, driving innovation and continuous improvement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Educational Background:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering: A foundational requirement, focusing on power electronics.</li> <li>Master's Degree or PhD: Preferably in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field, providing advanced knowledge and research experience.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Professional Experience:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Minimum of 7-10 years in power electronics, specifically in designing and developing power conversion systems like onboard chargers and DC-DC converters.</li> <li>Significant experience in the automotive industry, particularly in EV powertrain systems.</li> <li>Proven track record of managing projects from concept to production, including prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.</li> <li>Familiarity and proficiency with Mentor Graphics tools for circuit design and simulation.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Leadership Experience:</strong></p> <ol> <li>At least 3-5 years of experience leading engineering teams, demonstrating the ability to mentor, inspire, and manage team members.</li> <li>Experience working with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, systems engineers, and software engineers.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Deep understanding of high-frequency magnetics, power semiconductors (SiC, GaN), thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations.</li> <li>Proficiency in using Mentor Graphics tools, as well as other simulation tools like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or similar for circuit design and analysis.</li> <li>Experience with PCB design tools such as Mentor Graphics, Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar.</li> <li>Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262, UL, IEC standards) related to EV power electronics.</li> <li>Familiarity with embedded systems and software development for control algorithms in power electronics applications.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative solutions for challenging design problems.</li> <li>Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).</li> <li>Ability to align engineering efforts with business goals, ensuring technical solutions meet market needs.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Additional Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):</strong></p> <ol> <li>Certification demonstrating proficiency in project management principles and practices.</li> <li>Certification indicating expertise in process improvement and quality management.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Cross-functional Collaboration:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Ability to
