Position Description:

In 2020, I started what I call the “Science, Technology, Business, and Society” (STB&S) initiative at Babson. Today, the initiative primarily consists of the preparation and mailing of weekly STB&S Newsletters and Roundtable announcements for 48 weeks (with a 2-week break in August and a 2-week break at the end of the calendar year). There is a weekly online Friday STB&S Roundtable that I moderate each week (once again, 48 weeks a year). I presently do all this by myself, investing close to 125 days a year on the effort.

The “Graduate Assistant” position is for help in this endeavor. Once the position is filled, the Graduate Student will assist me, first, in reimagining and reformatting the newsletter and the roundtable announcements so they are exemplary examples of what today’s social media requires. Second, the Graduate Assistant will assist in broadening the social media network via which the newsletter and roundtable announcements will be taken to a higher level of global visibility. And third, the Graduate Assistant will help each week in the preparation of the newsletter and roundtable announcement as well as preparing for each week’s roundtable.
