Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team for transforming plan sponsor user experience using cloud-native platform hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing user interfaces. You will work closely with backend and design teams to create responsive, scalable, and maintainable frontend applications using modern frameworks like React. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in frontend development, system design, and a deep understanding of user-centric design principles

What you will do:

  • Design and define the technical architecture and infrastructure required for UI solutions
  • Write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities according to project requirements
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, propose design patterns, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions
  • Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency
  • Integrate with various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution
  • Write and execute comprehensive test cases, conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of solution
  • Participate in agile or other development methodologies, attend meetings, contribute to project planning, and help drive the progress and success of product
  • Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team
  • Create and maintains technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications
  • 5+ years of experience in building and optimizing scalable, high-performance web applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in React JS, Nodejs, Typescript, Redux and Angular
  • 3+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Jest, Playwright, Jasmine, and Selenium.
  • Experience integrating backend technologies and RESTful APIs. handling XSRF and CSRF protection
  • Experience with cloud technologies (GCP, AWS)
  • Experience working with GitHub, GitLab, Docker, and JIRA tools, with a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • Experience working healthcare plan sponsor portal


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices
  • Exposure to AI/ML model deployment or prompt engineering
  • Experience in Database – SQL, NoSQL, table structure, data relationships
  • Extensive experience with building and driving adoption of software engineering best practices
  • Strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $166,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
