What You Will Do:

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise/Microsoft Windows and environment.

• Lead and coordinate the Red Hat Installation and configuration.

• Design, develop and deploy RedHat Podman containers.

• Participate in all phases of Engineering software installation and support, with emphasis on testing, documentation, and acceptance phases.

• Experience in Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. 

• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

• Experience provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Linux/Windows infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support

• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.

• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours

• Full time 100% Onsite position

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: RedHat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, Backup and Recovery enterprise suites.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Active DoD TS clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

• Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification. 

• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF

• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development

• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange

• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment

• Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and ability to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems

• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Linux Desktops, Windows desktops (Windows 10/11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods

• Scripting/automation PowerShell, Bash
