DATTCO currently has a full-time 2nd shift Diesel Technician/Mechanic opening at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Watertown, CT.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
- Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
- Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
- Makes road calls
- Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
- Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma, trade school or equivalent
- 5+ years training or experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
- Driver’s license and DOT medical card
- Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license
- Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications
- Adequate English verbal and written communication skills
- Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks

Physical Demands for the Job

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Ability to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly and perform required vehicle inspections.

Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and use vehicle safety equipment.

Ability to assist passengers during boarding, exiting, and emergency evacuations.
