POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician III to join the fast-growing Starnes, Inc. team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems and food service equipment, for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs
• Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units or replace parts for existing units according to specifications
• Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls
• Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled job
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers
• Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through FirstCall Academy, to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industry
• Elite level of customer service, to ensure we continue to be the FirstCall our customers make for their HVAC & Refrigeration needs

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position reports to the service manager, and has a responsibility to the entire service team and all of our customers.

• High school diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipment
• 10+ years of experience and knowledge in repairs of commercial restaurant equipment plus commercial HVAC Setting
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
