About the role
This position is considered REMOTE; however, you must reside in California and be able to commute to the Corporate Headquarters in Vacaville, CA as needed.Summary: Business Systems Management is responsible for effective leadership of the Business Systems Analyst and the Enterprise Application Services teams. These teams ensure successful operation, management, and delivery of all assigned shared services platforms, including the core financial ecosystem (production and non-production), service management solutions, back office collaboration, reporting, and operations management tools, as well as shared productivity solutions on delivered as either Software as a Service or on premises. Because of the dependencies which exist between these systems and the services offered by the organization across lines of business, the Business Systems Management team provides critical support to the success of Travis Credit Union (TCU) and its members by ensuring efficient, strategic use of a shared service, application, or suite of applications offered by Technology Solutions. Profile:
- Ensures ongoing development of staff to attain new knowledge, skills and abilities to support the organization’s internal and external mission.
- Leads, motivates, trains, and directs the Business Systems Analysts and Enterprise Application Services teams to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Keeps abreast of and employs best practices in the areas of operations management, service management, and software development methodologies & processes, incident and change control processes, testing, documentation development and maintenance, project delivery, monitoring, data management, environment maintenance, solution enhancements, and solution development/architecture.
- Identifies, understands, and plans for organizational and human impacts of systems, and ensures business requirements are properly documented and integrated with existing processes, services, solutions, and skill sets.
- Ensures the continuous development and documentation of application operations procedures, test and release requirements, environment management practices, and quality control and assurance standards and functions.
- Directs and/or participates in the collection, analysis, and development of reports and various metrics for internal reporting, such as environment performance and availability management, defect rates, service level compliance, and change rates.
- Leads or supervises the incident and change response activities for assigned applications or services, including internal communication, resolution, documentation, execution, problem management, root cause analysis, and similar.
- Assists or leads the creation, review, and approval of change requests to ensure facilitation of and adherence to the Change Management processes and industry best practices.
- Participates in the training of new team members and the on-going development of staff.
- Assists in developing user and system documentation in consideration of Travis Credit Union policies and procedures which impact the use of application systems and consistent with industry best practices.
- Continuously adheres to industry best practices and Travis Credit Union policies and procedures for the successful completion and delivery of work.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks and manage team tasks in high-pressure situations.
- Proven history of relationship building at all levels within an organization.
- Proven success to learn and successfully employ vendor and TCU supplied tools and services for application configuration, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support.
- Successful history of employing or leading the employment of multiple application data models, interfaces, and exchanges, and utilize appropriate environments (e.g. Test, Staging, and Production) in support of assigned responsibilities.
- Measurable success in designing and leading the design of processes for the efficient use of assigned applications or services.
- Ability to effectively manage employees with varied skills working a variety of schedules, including on-call rotations either on premises or remotely.
