Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – PRN

Shadelands Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – PRN to join our rehabilitation team.

Position Details

  • Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – PRN

  • Schedule: PRN

  • Pay Range: $48–$55 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

  • Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established goals.

  • Assist patients in improving their independence with activities of daily living and functional mobility.

  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions designed to improve strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and functional skills.

  • Monitor and communicate patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in condition to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team.

  • Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation in accordance with facility policies, professional standards, and payer requirements.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, home programs, and strategies to promote independence and safety.

  • Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and other interdisciplinary activities as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.

  • Build positive and respectful relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification and state license

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach

  • Commitment to providing high-quality rehabilitation services
