Description
We are seeking a passionate and organized Program Recruiter to facilitate the recruitment and enrollment of eligible participants for a return to work program for individuals looking to rehabilitate back into society. This role will involve working closely with the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to identify potential candidates, oversee the application processes, and ensure a smooth entry into the program. The ideal candidate will have experience in recruitment and program intake, as well as a strong understanding of workforce readiness programs. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Facilitate the recruitment and enrollment of eligible participants in collaboration with IDOC personnel.
- Identify potential candidates through outreach and engagement with correctional facilities.
- Oversee the application process, including TABE testing and pre-program orientation for candidates.
- Collaborate with correctional facility staff to ensure candidates meet program eligibility requirements.
- Refer individuals who do not meet minimum standards to additional resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate records of applicants and participants, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to reach diverse populations and promote equitable access to the program.
- Conduct informational sessions and workshops to educate potential candidates about program opportunities and benefits.
- Stay informed about workforce readiness trends and best practices to enhance recruitment efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Human Resources, Education, or related discipline) preferred.
- Experience in recruitment, program intake, and working with workforce readiness programs.
- Familiarity with correctional environments and the unique challenges faced by justice-involved individuals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to promoting equity and access in program participation.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
