We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated student intern to join the precision neurology and neuroinflammation cluster, focused on discovering, validating, and developing therapies for neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS. This position is laboratory-based and will involve executing experiments to identify and test new therapeutics in vitro and ex vivo. The successful candidate will have a background in neurodegenerative diseases with the ability to perform cell culture-based experiments on primary brain cells and/or cell lines. The ideal candidate will also have experience running different bioanalysis assays including ELISA based systems.

Main Responsibilities:
Validate in vitro human and/or rodent models of neurodegeneration to support proof-of-concept studies.
Utilize high content imaging to evaluate synaptic density in primary or iPSC neurons in situ.
Measure compound exposure and changes in neuroinflammatory pathways in the CNS using ELISA or other similar approaches.
Design and execute experiments, analyze data and clearly communicate results at internal and external meetings and conferences.
Interact in a matrixed, dynamic and cross-functional manner across the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area, Research Platforms, and external collaborators.
Establish and maintain a scientific network external to the company to advance portfolio projects through collaborations.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
Must have been a former Sanofi intern in our 2025 Summer Intern program
Pursuing a bachelor’s in neuroscience, neurodegeneration, neuroimmunology, or engineering related field with plans to graduate by 2028.
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship.
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with in vitro CNS models and iPSC lines preferred.
Highly organized, collaborative, and effective working on teams
Ability to work collaboratively to identify and execute key steps necessary to advance projects.
Ability to effectively develop and discuss experimental goals and research progress with scientists and stakeholders of varied backgrounds.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
