Job Summary:

We are seeking a Cost Analyst to join our Finance department. You will handle job cost analyses, prepare budget reports, and collaborate with financial staff to provide accurate financial information. Your contributions will help improve profitability and efficiency within the company.

To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-5 years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or accounting. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software are key. (Accounting Majors Are Preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis:
  • Collect and analyze operational cost and revenue data.
  • Maintain cost accounting records and reports.
• Project & Cost Analysis:
  • Verify the accuracy of Raw Material, WIP, and Finished Goods.
  • Perform project analysis including EAC review, WIP reserves, and margin analysis.
• Inventory Management:
  • Oversee cycle counts and work with Inventory Control and Operations.
  • Manage quarterly inventory E&O processes.
• Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare customer invoicing and review financial statements.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Cost-Saving Initiatives:
  • Recommend and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Other Duties:
  • Undertake special projects as needed by management.

    

Requirements

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Experience: 2-5 years in a cost analyst, accounting, or related role.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting standards.
  • Experience with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas), with Cognos and Power BI experience a       plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Compliance: Must meet the eligibility requirements under the Safe Explosives Act (2003) as required      by ATF regulations.

  Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Physical Demands:
  • Mostly sedentary work (90% sitting).
  • Occasional standing, walking, and minimal lifting (up to 10 lbs unassisted, up to 50 lbs with assistance).
  • Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and focus adjustments       for computer work.
• Work Environment:
  • Exposure to mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, and explosives may       occur.
  • Moderate noise levels: ear protection may be required in some areas.
