Job Description

You will be part of our Cloud Native DevSecOps practice and will be primarily working on building enterprise solutions that modernize software supply chains. In this role, you will be responsible for providing design and implementation expertise on DevSecOps, CICD and application/platform modernization solutions. You will be interfacing with application developers and platform engineers to design and develop state-of-the-art DevOps release engineering solutions. You will be implementing rapid POCs and Pilots of new capabilities to demonstrate feasibility of new solutions. You will understand the developments in the DevSecOps and CNCF community and have a great understanding of the overall CNCF ecosystem and industry trends in the DevSecOps domain. You will present solutions to stakeholders to better educate them and help in the decision making process for using the right technologies for solving the right problems. You will have opportunities to work on Kubernetes and container architectures to solve problems in the cloud native modernization domain.

In this role, you will:

• Provide expertise as a cloud native application development engineer, specializing in designing, building, and rolling out solutions based on relational databases and object-oriented languages (Experience with MariaDB and Rust are a significant plus)
• Be responsible for assessing the full lifecycle of any feature developed from concept/design through to decommissioning the application feature, including documentation.
• Mentor other software development teams in transforming their apps and services into microservices, containers, and cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, specifically with relational databases such as MariaDB, Oracle, or PostgreSQL and object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Rust.

• Demonstrated implementation of microservices, container, and cloud-native application development. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift, and related container platform ecosystems.

• Strong experience integrating enterprise security solutions into application services.

• Profound understanding and experience of release engineering and continuous delivery processes. Expert-level grasp of static code analysis, unit testing and test-driven development, security testing, and automated test frameworks. Familiarity with GitLab CI, SonarQube, GIT, and Cesium.

• Agile methodology experience, especially with Scrum and/or Kanban.

• Solid understanding of Amazon AWS cloud; AWS developer certification or Cloud Native (CKAD) certification is a significant plus.

• Familiarity with Javascript and React is an advantage.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality and consistent systems and environments for development teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
